How to Measure Your Band Size and Cup Size (US/UK)

Finding the right bra size involves measuring both your band size and cup size accurately. Here’s a simple guide to help you do it:

Measuring Band Size:
1. Measure Your Underbust:
- Wrap a measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, just under your bust.
- Ensure the tape is level and firm but not too tight.
- Note the measurement in inches.

2. Calculate Your Band Size:
- If the measurement is an even number, add 4 inches.
- If the measurement is an odd number, add 5 inches.

Example Band Size:
- Underbust measurement (inches): 32 inches + 4 = band size 36

Measuring Cup Size:
1. Measure Your Bust:
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.
- Keep the tape level and comfortable, not tight.
- Note the measurement in inches.

2. Calculate Your Cup Size:
- Subtract the band size from the bust measurement.
- Use the difference to determine your cup size (e.g., 1 inch = A, 2 inches = B, 3 inches = C, etc.).

Example:
- Bust measurement: 38 inches (96.5 cm)
- Band size: 36 inches
- Difference: 38 - 36 = 2 inches, which corresponds to a B cup.

Example Calculation:
1. Underbust Measurement:
- 32 inches

2. Band Size Calculation:
- 32 inches + 4 = 36 inches

3. Bust Measurement:
- 38 inches

4. Cup Size Calculation:
- Bust size 38 inches - band size 36 inches = 2 inches (B cup)

Final Bra Size: 36B

By following these steps, you can determine your bra size accurately.
